Where it began
Organizational Intelligence was born on a restaurant opening.
The idea behind The Service Syndicate did not begin in a boardroom. It began on the floor of a restaurant preparing for opening day.
Founder Jonti DeQuan was part of a new restaurant opening where hundreds of menu items, wine pairings, cocktails, recipes, service standards, allergies, and operational procedures had to be learned in only a few weeks.
Management delivered exceptional training. The information itself was not the problem. The challenge was how that information was being delivered—and how difficult it was to keep using once formal training ended.
What if all of this knowledge could live in one intelligent system instead of dozens of disconnected documents?
The question that started The Service Syndicate
The knowledge problem
People were building their own systems just to keep up.
Employees searched across different resources to remember details, prepare for service, and build confidence.
PowerPoint presentations
PDF documents
Printed binders
Paper handouts
Personal notes
Study groups
Homemade flash cards
Individual research
The problem was not a lack of knowledge. It was the absence of a system capable of preserving that knowledge, organizing it, and delivering it consistently when people needed it.
From experience to innovation

Hospitality built the vision.
With more than fifteen years working in hospitality, Jonti witnessed the same pattern repeatedly: great restaurants invested enormous time creating excellent training, but knowledge slowly disappeared after training ended.
Experienced employees left. Managers repeated the same lessons. New hires started from scratch. Consistency often depended on who happened to be working that day.
Rather than accepting outdated training methods as the standard, he began asking how modern technology could preserve organizational expertise instead of allowing it to disappear whenever an employee moved on.
That pursuit became The Service Syndicate—and ultimately led to Organizational Intelligence, HospitalityOS, and JARI.
“Every company has information. Few have intelligence.”
The idea becomes a system
Information becomes active.
Organizational Intelligence does more than store documents. It turns what an organization knows into a living system that helps people learn, decide, practice, and perform.
Every document becomes searchable. Every procedure becomes teachable. Every lesson becomes repeatable. Knowledge stops sitting in folders and starts helping people.
Teach
Turn source material into structured learning.
Answer
Make approved knowledge available in the moment.
Practice
Build confidence through repetition and real scenarios.
Evaluate
Reveal understanding, progress, and knowledge gaps.
Preserve
Keep expertise accessible when people and teams change.
Improve
Use feedback and activity to strengthen the organization.
The first products
The first real-world application.
Built specifically for restaurants, HospitalityOS transforms existing training materials into one connected, mobile-first learning environment.
Menu knowledge, wine programs, cocktails, allergy awareness, searchable documentation, flash cards, games, pairings, performance tracking, and daily practice become accessible in one place.
Instead of memorizing paper binders, employees build confidence through interaction, repetition, and access to the right answer from their phone.
Explore HospitalityOS →The intelligence layer behind the system.
Named after Jonti's daughter, JARI represents something bigger than artificial intelligence: preserving knowledge for the people and generations who come next.
JARI helps employees think through situations, practice difficult conversations, answer questions, evaluate understanding, and improve using only approved organizational knowledge.
It does not replace people. It extends the organization's expertise—available any time, anywhere.
Meet JARI →Beyond hospitality
HospitalityOS is only the beginning.
The Service Syndicate was not created to build software for one industry. It was created to build Organizational Intelligence for every industry.
The same principles that strengthen a restaurant can help any organization preserve what it knows, teach it better, and improve how its people perform.
Every organization has knowledge worth preserving.
Every organization deserves access to it.
Our Mission
To transform organizational knowledge into living systems that help people perform with confidence every single day.
Everything The Service Syndicate builds is measured against that mission.
